В системах с виртуальной памятью – аппаратное прерывание, вызванное обращением к ячейке виртуальной памяти, расположенной на странице, отсутствующей в данный момент в физической оперативной памяти.

страничная ошибка, отсутствие страницыэто на самом деле не ошибка, а ситуация в системе управления виртуальной памятью, возникающая при обращении процессора к очередной команде или её операнду, которые находятся на странице памяти, отсутствующей в ОЗУ.
